The cinemas in the Algarve get all the most recent movies, most new films are released at the same time in the Algarve as they are in the UK. They are normally less expensive, very comfortable, air-conditioned, dolby sound and in most cases little or no queues.

Ghost Rider - Action/Adventure starring Nicolas Cage, Wes Bentley, Eva Mendes, Matthew Long, Peter Fonda ...Director and current rewrite Screenplay by Mark Steven Johnson...A motorcycle stuntman, Johnny Blaze, makes a pact with a dark force, selling his soul to save his girlfriend. When the bargain goes sour and the girl isn't saved, Blaze is transformed, gaining raging superpowers. Based on the Marvel comic series.
Hannibal's Rising - In Eastern Europe at the end of World War II, a young Hannibal watches as his parents violently die, leaving his young sister in his care. Alone and without any means of support, he is forced to live in a Soviet orphanage. He flees to Paris to find his uncle has died but his Japanese widow, Lady Murasaki (Gong Li) welcomes him. Even her kindness and love cannot soothe the nightmares and sorrows that plague him. Showing a cunning aptitude for science he is accepted into medical school, which serves to hone his skills and provide the tools to exact justice on the war criminals that haunt him day and night. This quest will ignite an insatiable lust within a serial killer who was not born, but made. Harsh Times - Jim Davis (Christian Bale) is an ex-Army Ranger recently discharged from the military, yet still haunted by nightmares of his former occupation. While seeking a position with the LAPD that will allow him to marry his Mexican girlfriend and bring her to the United States, Jim kills time chilling with his best friend, Mike (Freddy Rodriguez). Mike is feeling the heat from his longtime girlfriend, Sylvia (Eva Longoria): either get a job or get out. But the love of a beautiful woman can't compare to the bonds of friendship, and Jim and Mike are soon cruising the streets of South Central, slipping back into a deceitful life of drugs, violence and petty crime, just like when they were kids.

Meeting secretly with a small group of students who name themselves "Dumbledore's Army", harry teaches them how to defend themselves against the Dark Arts, preparing the courageous young wizards for the extraordinary battle that lies ahead.


Inland Empire - Drama/ Thriller starring Laura Dern, Justin Theroux, Harry Dean Stanton, Jeremy Irons, Terryn Westbrook. Directed by: David Lynch. Synopsis: A blonde actress is preparing for her biggest role yet, but when she finds herself falling for her co-star, she realizes that her life is beginning to mimic the fictional film that they're shooting. Adding to her confusion is the revelation that the current film is a remake of a doomed Polish production, 47, which was never finished due to an unspeakable tragedy. And that's only the beginning. Soon, a seemingly endless onslaught of indescribably bizarre situations flashes across the screen: a sitcom featuring humans in bunny suits, a parallel story set in a wintry Poland, a houseful of dancing streetwalkers, screwdrivers in stomachs, menacing Polish carnies, and much, much more.

Premonition - Thriller/ Drama with Sandra Bullock, Julian McMahon, Nia Long.... Directed by Mennan Yapo. Bullock plays Linda Hanson, who is apparently happily married to Jim (Julian McMahon). The full-time housewife is the mother of 10-year-old Bridgette (Courtney Taylor Burness) and 6-year-old Megan (Shyann McClure). All appears to be well, until, one day, a policeman visits Linda with news that Jim, who was on a business trip, died in a car accident the day before.
